The Entrance Hall of Beckley Hall is also usable as a meeting room with a capacity for meetings for 8-10 participants. Tables and chairs are available from the Storage Room.

The Meeting Room is equipped with a large screen TV which can be used for business presentations. WiFi is also available and the code posted on the entrance hall noticeboard.

Kitchen

Kitchen

Beckley Hall has a full equipped kitchen. Crockery and cutlery is available though, for events of up to circa 70 participants, the hirer will need to check that there is sufficient cutlery and crockery and, if necessary, source additional supplies for their chosen supplier. For larger events an external supplier should be used and they will be willing to take back unwashed dishes etc.

Children may must not use the Kitchen, even if accompanied,.

Prospective hirers should note that there is only a small dishwasher which has a short cycle option.

There are fire blankets which is suitable for all fire situation in the kitchen but that is conditional on deep fat frying not being used.

All portable electrical equipment in the Hall is maintained PAT tested. Hirers are responsible for any other equipment they bring into the hall.

Main Hall

Main Hall

The centrepiece of the Hall is the Main Hall which can comfortably seat 120 people and has stackable tables and chairs on wheeled racks kept in the Storage Room.

The whole hall benefits from underfloor heating which has a slow reaction time but keeps the hall at a perfect temperature all the time except in large events where 2 electrically-operated vents high in the wall of the Main Hall can provide ventilation as required.

The Main Hall has a serving hatch to the Kitchen and an opening glass wall to the playing fields with a wonderful view over Otmoor. The hall is cleaned professionally a minimum of weekly and we aim to keep it in perfect condition.

There is a stage with demountable stage units also kept in the Storage Room. There is a high quality video projector with HDMI input for vision and sound as well as a radio mike. In addition there is an audio induction loop.

The access doors from the foyer to the Main Hall are fire doors which close automatically in the event of a fire. They must be left closed at the end of a hiring.

Changing Rooms

Changing Rooms

There are male and female changing rooms each with hooks and benching suitable for a football team. There are associated personal shower cubicles. Separate ladies and gent’s toilets and a separate disabled toilet that can also double as a referee’s changing room.
There is a fire door that can isolate the Changing Rooms from the rest of the building which can be useful for sports hirers who do not wish to risk youngsters in muddy boots running around the Main Hall and incurring additional cleaning costs. For that reason, there are 2 independent sets of fire extinguishers and emergency exits so that each part of the hall is a separate fire compartment.

Storage Room

There is a large storage room which should not be entered by unaccompanied children and the Storage Room doors should be kept locked when not in use.

The Storage Room contains tables and chairs, separate cabinets for each of our interest groups, cleaning equipment (professional and a simple set for hirers to use), and all cleaning liquids that might pose a risk to children which are kept locked.
